NEXT SUNDAY MORNING ‘SPECIAL’: How as Christian’s do we understand suffering? Do we grapple with the question of Suffering? Come along on Sunday 22nd January at one of our special services where our guest speaker Dr Derek Stringer will be joining us and talking on the theme ‘Making sense of Life’s Up’s & Down’s’. Derek is a well know international radio broadcaster and bible teacher.  We have a normal Morning Worship service at St Michael’s at 9.30am with a question session afterwards and an informal ‘Cafe style’ service at St John’s at 11am.  There will be an alternative Said Holy Communion service at 9.30am at St John’s not exploring the theme of suffering.  Come to the service which you prefer then join together afterwards at St John’s and bring along your own lunch and a pudding to share at about 12.30pm. All welcome.  Bring your own drinks.

REPORTS FOR GROUPS WITHIN CHURCH: During some of the services in January, February and March we will be hearing a short report from each group within our church eg Building, Deanery Synod, Young people’s groups etc to learn what we have been doing during 2011 in a lead up to the APCM.

SML PCC: Our first PCC of the New Year will take place on Monday 23rd January 7.30pm in church.

WORLD CHURCH & JUSTICE meet next on Tuesday 31st January 8pm at the home of Paul & Gill Whorton.

QUINTA – YOUTH WEEKEND WAY 9TH-11TH MARCH: If you are secondary school age or in sixth form please come along to Quinta this year.  The dates are 9th-11th March and the cost is £80.  I hope you can join us for a fun weekend of activities, teaching and worship.  If you would like to go to Quinta or would like further details about the weekend please speak to Kathy (274632). 

OPEN DOORS PRESENTATION HERE IN TELFORD: Go along on Saturday 10 March 10am-5pm to Telford International Centre to the ‘Jars of Clay Volunteers Summit’ and be inspired and equipped through worship, inspirational talks and workshops. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or brand new to Open Doors, come with your family and friends and share in the blessing of coming together as part of the family of God. TIDDLYWINKS & TREKKERS: Tiddlywinks is a group held during the service for under 5’s and is held in the Vestry during Sunday’s at the 10am service and Trekkers is also held on these Sundays.

             (14 - 18 year olds) meet weekly at the home of James & Kathy Tagg. The meeting time is Sunday evenings 7.15 – 8.30pm during term time. We meet for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Call James & Kathy on 274632 for further info.

           Spark will meet on the first Sunday of each month at the new contemporary

           service at 10am. For ages 10-14. Please see Colin Barnett or Kathy Tagg for more details.

PATHFINDERS: Age range 5 to 11. We meet term time each Thursday between 6pm and 7.05 pm at St Michael's. Contact Ellie Jones 07830524321.

SUB:ZERO - cafe style youth club for school years 7-9 takes place at St John's church after school 4pm-6pm on Friday’s during term time. A chance for young people to meet with friends, relax and have fun & games such as pool & table tennis, we also have an Xbox Kinect, Wii & tuck shop.
