PRAYERS: It is with great sadness we let you know that Audrey Harrison passed away on Monday night after a long illness; our prayers of love and support go out to Eric and their family and friends at this sad time.

AFTER ALPHA GROUP continues this Thursday at St John’s beginning with coffee at 7.45pm.
CHOIR REHEARSAL: A Choir rehearsal has been set for Thursday 29th September 7.30-8.15pm. (To practice the psalm for Sunday and also Harvest music) the following rehearsal will be 13th October. Whole choir is required for Harvest Festival service on 16th October.
A MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING is to be held between 9am and 12noon on Friday 30th September at the home of Frances Taylor, 1, Gower Close, Muxton. EVERYONE WELCOME.
YOUTH EVENTS - We have two youth events coming up. The first is to raise money for Stop the Traffik, on Friday 6th October. Look out for posters & flyers for more information - or see Kathy, James or Rachel Preston. Secondly, we're holding the first TGI of the year on Sun 16th October. It will be at St Michael's and will be puddings only. Please contact Kathy (274632) if you can provide a pudding or cake. We'll need 4 or 5 altogether please.
ST MICHAEL’S ORGANIST: Raymond has now left as our Organist, and after 35 years of loyal service, we would like to express our thanks with a farewell gift. There is a box at the back of Church for people wishing to donate towards a gift for Raymond or if you prefer you can give your donation to either of the Churchwardens. In view of the change of service patterns on the 25th September, the presentation to Raymond Millward has been moved. Date to be confirmed.
HISTORIC CHURCHES TRUST CALENDAR. We have an order form at the back of Church for Calendars for 2012 produced by Historic Churches Trust which has a picture of our Church for the month of June. The calendar costs £5 each with £1 going towards Church Funds for each Calendar ordered. If you wish to place an order, please include your name and also the number of calendars you would like.

TIDDLYWINKS & TREKKERS: Tiddlywinks is a group held during the service for under 5’s and is held in the Vestry most Sunday’s and Trekkers is also held most Sundays.
(14 - 18 year olds) meet weekly at the home of James & Kathy Tagg. The meeting time is Sunday evenings 7.15 – 8.30pm during term time. We meet for Bible study, prayer and discussion. Call James & Kathy on 274632 for further info.
