PRAYERS please pray for the family of John Lewis of Wellington Road who recently passed away.  We pray for peace, love and comfort at this very sad time. Also for loved ones who are ill at this time.  Special prayers for Audrey Harrison, Joan Hornby, Ellen Marshall and Eileen Parker as they continue with on-going treatment.

Lesley will be on holiday from 24th – 31st August.

HISTORIC CHURCHES TRUST CALENDAR. We have an order form at the back of Church for Calendars for 2012 produced by Historic Churches Trust which has a picture of our Church for the month of June.   The calendar has been well accepted and costs £5.00p each with £1.00p going towards Church Funds for each Calendar ordered.  If you wish to place an order, please include your name and also the number of calendars you would like.  Fran will collect the money for orders, when this is required.  Ruth Taylor has kindly agreed to forward the order to Historic Churches.

FACULTY REQUEST: Mrs Peter Grigg has applied for a faculty for a Memorial Stone for her late Husband in the Cemetery.   A public notice and also a sketch of the proposed Memorial Stone are in the Porch way of Church and a public notice is also on the gates of the Cemetery.  The public notice and sketch will be on display from today until 11th September. If anyone has an objection to the Memorial, please put this in writing and hand to Frances Taylor - CHURCHWARDEN.

LMLT: St John’s and St Michael’s Leadership team meet next on Monday 5th September 7.30pm at the Vicarage.

WORLD CHURCH & JUSTICE group are meeting on Tuesday 6th September 8pm at the home of June Powell.

SKITTLES AND FISH AND CHIP EVENING to be held at Lilleshall Memorial Hall on Saturday 10th September at 7.00pm. Price £6 for adults, £4 for children aged 14 and under, to include fish and chips. Please bring own drinks. Contact Angie or Ian Vann (01952) 606008 for tickets and further information.

EAST AFRICA APPEAL: Drought, high food prices and failed harvests have left 10 million people in East Africa on the brink of disaster. The Disasters Emergency Committee, of which Tearfund is a member, has launched an appeal for the growing crisis in the wider East African region. THURSDAY MORNING PRAYER MEETING this Thursday morning at various venues from 7.30-8.00am.

TIDDLYWINKS & TREKKERS: Tiddlywinks is a group held during the service for under 5’s and is held in the Vestry each Sunday except for the third Sunday which is Messy Church at 11am and Trekkers is also held each week except for the third Sunday, in the Memorial Hall.
