If, as individuals and as a church our relationship with God is weak, what do we have to share with the world? Many of us struggle to keep a daily discipline of prayer and quiet when we can be open to God and the direction of the Holy Spirit. A Still Small Voice, based on the story of Elijah (1 Kings 19), is designed to inspire, encourage and assist us in finding ways of praying that help strengthen our relationship with the Lord. All are invited to come on 25th February 10am-12.30pm at St Andrew’s Shifnal...further details to follow.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: St Michael’s and St John’s would like to invite you to a joint Memorial Service on Sunday 26th February 4.00pm at St Michael’s Church.  It will be a service of remembering loved ones and a thanksgiving of their lives.  If you would like to add a name to the ‘Naming List’ in remembrance speak to Lesley 670033.

DOES GOD EXIST?  A strong endorsement from Bishop Mark of Shrewsbury to a potentially fascinating evening; You may have heard through various media channels about the New Atheism and also maybe the encouragement by Archbishop Rowan that we and our local church leaders prepare to engage as best we can. There is a good opportunity in our region for some Ministry Development in Apologetics for our lay and ordained leaders. A current tour by a master in apologetics is coming to Birmingham for an event on Friday, 21st October: William Lane Craig will debate with Peter Millican, Professor of Philosophy at Oxford University at the Great Hall, Birmingham University, Edgbaston. One description of William Lane Craig is ‘a brilliant Christian Philosopher … think an American Alistair McGrath on logical steroids…’The details on the evening are available at; http://bit.ly/nlISjj Also an article in the Telegraph and a YouTube clip concerning the subject.
